I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
